「私は催眠術のテクノが好きです、それは、人々に無限のこの感覚を与えます。終わることのないこの無限 (Cio D’Or 2012年) 」。ベーシックチャンネルから流れ続けてきたミニマルダブ、あるいはダブテクノの魅力とは、このシンプルな言葉に尽きるだろう。
ダブテクノにはどこかに「もののあはれ」のような物悲しい感情がながれていることに気づく。
こうした音楽を空気のように淡々と部屋に流していると、
花さそふ
嵐の庭のゆきならで
ふりゆくものは我が身なりけり
という百人一首の入道前太政大臣の歌が脳裏をかすめ浮かんできた。それは「桜の花を散らして、嵐の吹いている庭は、まるで雪が「降りゆく」ようだ。でも、本当に年を取って「古りゆく」のは、この私の方なのだよなあ・・・・」という意味なのだが、最近はすっかり「もののあはれ」の感情がこころの真ん中にどーんと居座ってやがる。これ以上ながく生きたいとは思わないけど、歳とったのかなあ。それともやはり…人間を人間たらしめるもの、人間の尊厳ってなんだろうと、よく考えるのだが、自分が生きてることを肯定できている考え方やポリシー、自分は生きていて良いのだと思える最後の牙城でもあった自尊心によって支えられていたその「人間としての尊厳」すらも危うくなったきた、のかも。

男と女の愛や家族、豊かさ、経済にくらべると音楽なんて、人生にとってなんの力にもなりえないのだろうか？ 韓流や秋元康/AKB48などの幼児性愛に似たダサい芸能ポップに、世界で100-300枚しかコピーされていないこれら尖端音楽のCD/レコードが負けるとでもいうのか。言っておくがパンクやテクノ、クラブミュージックが表出したあの時代もそうした音楽は常に少数派のものだった。いまでこそ大衆に認知されてはいるが。あのことも影響しているのだろうが、ブログを立ち上げてまだ1ヶ月もたっていないのに、すでに11000人のひとが閲覧してくださっている。このソーシャルネットワーク社会のなかで、このブログでの情報がどのように拡大、または滅亡していくのか、あるいは奇跡的に小数派コミュニティビジネスでも成立するのか、それがみものだな。
ダブテクノは、そうした古い歌人の和歌である百人一首や、「心の働きを集中させる」、「心を静かにして動揺させない」という禅の禅定の語釈、または俳句での五・七・五の音数による言葉の調べ（韻律）とリズム、「季語」と「切れ」、「余韻を残す 」テクニックにとてもよく似ているように思える。そしてダブテクノの終わることのない無限とは「世は定めなきこそ、いみじけれ ( この世は無常だからこそ、素晴らしい ) 」なのだ。

Stefan Gubatzはアルバム「Distanz」を、静けさおよび寒冷に好奇心をそそられ、寒く常に悪天候のドイツの北海ノルトフリースラント( Nordfriesland )にあるStefan Gubatzの故郷を思い出しながら制作した。カバーの写真は、ケルンとボローニャの空港でステファン自身によって撮影されたもので、歩行者が明るい光の方へ歩くシーンを見ていると、黙示的で超現実的な絵を彼に思い出させたという。このアルバムから聴こえる無限に終わることの無いダブテクノ、催眠的テクノは「音楽、正常なendless”…止まらないもの」、微妙なダブ・ステップ・リズムなどを意識し構築されている。聴いているうちに我々は自然なパノラマのビジョンを経験する。

Claudio Prcの「Black Hole」のサウンドイメージを制作したのがRaimondo Gaviano / SVART1で、色々調べているとClaudio Prcの音楽以上に興味を惹かれたのでまず彼のことを取り上げておこう。Raimondo Gaviano / SVART1は、現在イタリアのカリアリ/サルジニアに住む、フィールドオブアンビエント、ダークアンビエント、インダストリアルを主とした音楽をフィールド録音、syntheziser、ギター、ダルシマー、pcなどで構築するミュージシャンでもあり、ヴィデオパフォーマンス、ノイズ音楽のコレクターでもある。クロアチア、ルーマニア、プラハ、ブタペスト、チェコ、ドイツなどで彼の支持者が多いことから東欧を主に活動しているらしい。音楽以上に驚くのは視覚芸術家Svart1としての世界で、それは有機的な暗い環境のうちの、流れること、移動する、揺らぎなどの自然の美が主なテーマで、ジェンダーおよびその人の曖昧な表現の支配が相互連結された社会関係、およびその人の曖昧な表現の中で対話し、新しい退廃的な時代に続くことだという。SVART1がもっとも敬愛するのが反ユートピア的な世界の住人アントナン・アルトー（Antonin Artaud, 1896年9月4日 – 1948年3月4日/ フランスの俳優・詩人・小説家・演劇家 ) で、ジル・ドゥルーズとフェリックス・ガタリがアントナン・アルトーの言葉をもとに自らの哲学的概念「器官なき身体」という、女性的な、包み込む、癒しの身体、対象を欲望し、また生み出す身体を唱えたが、彼の映像からは、それをも想起させられる。

カルフォルニア大学人類学部の学生だったカスタネダと、中南米に住むヤキ・インディアンの呪術師ドン・ファン・マトゥスとの交流を通して描かれた「Carlos Castaneda – Journey to Ixtlan」は、70年代の頭にサンフランシスコでのモーニングスターというコミューンや、そこで知ったマクロビオティック (Macrobiotic)フードや、ペヨーテなどの茸類のオーガニック幻覚剤体験と重なる懐かしい愛読書でもあり、そしてこの本ともう1冊、1968年にスチュアート・ブランドが創刊した「ホール・アース・カタログ（Whole Earth Catalog）」こそが、当時のぼくの人生のヴィジョンでもあり、世界観でもあった。この2冊のバイブルはおそらく先日他界したアップル社のスティーブ・ジョブズしかりだったろう。アルバム「DINO SABATINI / SHAMAN‘S PATHS」はカルロス・カスタネダの「イクストランへの旅」がコンセプトとして使われ、 呪術師の「知覚のあり方を変えることによって非日常的現実に移行することが可能なのだ」を、シャーマニックな音楽で再現したものと言えるだろう。この作品を聴いているとドンファンの言う”死とは渦巻きだ、死とはおまえをみて笑う盟友だ。死とはおまえでありわしだ。死は結局おまえが生れ落ちてずっとおまえのそばでおまえを見ておったんだ。”が、いまも耳の側で木霊する。

Stroboscopic Artefacts

イタリアンDJ、プロデューサーLuca Mortellaroがベルリンで創立した「Stroboscopic Artefacts / ストロボスコープ・アーテファクト」のテクノコミュニティーは、2012年の最重要な革命的事件でもあり個人的にも現在最も支持している運動でもある。進化の美学へとリスナーを輸送することを目指しているかのよう。Lucy ‎– Wordplay For Working Beesのなかの11のタイトルはすべて約3文字で表現されている。「ガス」、「永劫」および「ma。」。それは、この作品でルーシーは、古代ギリシャの哲学者シノーペのディオゲネス ( Diogenes of Sinope ) からの引用/参照をもとに制作し、犬儒学派といわれるディオゲネス（英: Diogenes、紀元前412年？ – 紀元前323年）はコスモポリタニズムという語を作った古代ギリシアの哲学者で、「徳」が人生の目的であり、欲望から解放されて自足すること、動じない心を持つことが重要だと考えた。彼は皮肉の創立者と言われているが、人生を生きるためには、理性をそなえるか、それがかなわなければ首をくくるための縄を用意しておかねばならぬとも言った。動物的な本能ではなく、思考に基づいて行動する能力を身につけ、あらゆる因習を否定して、自由に生き、徳を実践しようとしたという。死が迫ってきたとき、「私が死んだら、その辺に投げ捨てておくれ」と言ったとも。Lucyを初めストロボスコープ・アーテファクトの音楽はどこまでもアーティスト自身の内省的な世界観が描かれている。音楽もまた移り行くもの「同じ川へ2度と入って行くことができない – Heracleitus」。

01. The Stellate Series is boxed exquisitely in circular metallic tins which contains two transparent 10″ vinyls.
02. Each vinyl is separated by a typographic print on recycled paper.
03. The Stellate releases also contain a hand-numbered artwork inlay by Oblivious Artefacts.
04. The entire artwork inlay is comprised of four parts which are divided between Stellate 1 to Stellate 4.

この映像London Showcaseのような空気感とクラウドたちが集う空間を構築したいがために、ずっとこの20数年、クラブシーンに携わってきた。しかし90年代の頭に周防町筋の外れの川縁で展開したclub m2以外は、cafe blueであれ、jazz room nu things、nu things jajoukaであれ、こうした空間は2度と生まれることはなかった。このニッポンでは風俗営業や芸能としてのクラブマガイのディスコはあっても、尖端音楽を追っているアートとしてクラブミュージックをとらえている存在や、DJ、ミュージシャンがいない以上、そもそもアートとしてのクラブなどは存在し得ないし、夢のまた夢なのだ。ベルリンとニッポンのクラブとの落差と溝は想像以上に深い。きっといつまでたっても、それは埋まることはないだろう。だけど、ぼくはやり続けるよ。
