bertoia0216彫刻家、即興詩人ハリー・ベルトイアの20年間の仕事をカプセル化し、新しくオリジナルのマスタリールから復元された ” Sonambient ( Complete Collection ) ” 。バートイア・アーカイブから、長い歴史的なエッセイ、ハリー・ベルトイアとのスミソニアン・インタビュー、Sonambient時代の素材が記録された100ページの小冊子と11のディスク( CD ) がコンパイルされている。1950年代にはハリー・ベルトイア(1915-1978) は、すでに有名なアメリカの彫刻家として音の出る彫刻から呼び起された即席に作られた断片の、純然たる音響トーンを作成しはじめていた。バートイアは、彼の色調の彫刻、およびそれらの調和的に作成された音楽と環境を説明するための用語「Sonambient」を考え出した。ペンシルベニアの森の納屋で、ハリーは、4つの頭上のマイクロフォンおよび1/4インチテープレコーダを使って直観的なサウンドの実験を記録し、1970年に彼は最初のSonambient LPをリリースした。これらの豊かな高調波を通して、彼の彫刻でのトーンおよび純粋なゴングバートイアをパルス化されたこのボックスセットでの音響は、サウンド・インスタレーションのように空間的で、ほんのわずかな空気の流れをも音響化されている。音響を構成要素として用いる立体作品Sonambientはオブジェとしても美しく、視覚的鑑賞物としてもその存在感を顕示している。アナログシンセ復活の時代に、こうしたヴィジュアル・アーティストのSound sculptureでの音響も無視できない、、

*The book consists of 114 pages.
